The Studio at The Nite Cap

I started teaching dance when I was 15 years old. One of my first jobs was teaching for a summer program that was held at NOCCA and I think that experience solidified for me that I really loved teaching movement. I love watching people come into a space and experience their own strength and creativity through dance.

When I started doing burlesque in 2007, I took a chance and decided to host a burlesque workshop one summer. I advertised the class on MySpace bulletins for 2 weeks and 13 people showed up to that first class. From there, I went on to build The New Orleans School of Burlesque which ran from 2008 until 2020. I decided to close it down during the pandemic due to the unstable nature of the world. During that time, I began to shift focus and started teaching more pole dance, nurturing newer club dancers and helping them put sets together to land their auditions, and supporting those who were interested in having a better relationship with movement and their own bodies. My passions lie somewhere at the intersection of demystifying sensual movement and empowering people to explore non-traditional movement.

I am so excited to offer pole and movement classes at my new studio which is located inside The Original Nite Cap. We are equipped with 5 poles which means smaller classes, more attention, and lots of space for creation! We also offer private group sessions for bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and more. Just fill out the contact form and I will be in touch with you as soon as possible!
